Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500

DELOITTE ASIA PACIFIC TECHNOLOGY FAST 500Test & Tag, is an electrical audit management company that identifies, tracks, tests and tags all electrical appliances to meet your compliance requirements, is very proud to announce that Deloitte has announced that Test & Tag have ranked 255th in the 2010 edition of the Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500!


Fifty New Zealand companies made the Index this year. The New Zealand companies included in the Fast 500 are from across the country with 22 based in Auckland, while there are 10 respectively from Wellington and Canterbury, Waikato has 6, and Otago and Bay of Plenty 1 each.

Information Technology investment is part of the ongoing strategy for Test & Tag to lead the market by technical advantage.  explained Forrest

Test & Tag currently provides innovative reporting / forcasting for our customers such as current assset expiry, asset expiry period, categorised  asset overview and asset registrar by location.

Test & Tag Changes Business Model

Test & Tag will own and operate all regional operations under a corporate structure. This decision was made by the Test & Tag Board during November 2009 in conjunction with existing nationwide corporate customers. All regional offices will be under the same Test & Tag ownership structure.

This will provide a centralised management and control of all jobs throughout New Zealand to enable Test and Tag to book and schedule its own technicians anywhere in the country to provide national clients with one key supplier for all their Electrical Appliances Testing with one call , One Invoice, One Database and One company to deal with.

This has been an expensive Investment in setting up vehicles and staff scattered around the country. But now provides customers with two options, Deal with all the others “multiply Franchises in each region’ all deal with one company Test & Tag  “Our Focus is the customer, not franchises and by piloting the franchise model we became aware this focus was lost, along with the control and the ability to take total responsibility.

This decision has been agreed with the existing pilot franchisee area's which have been running successfully for three years as the best long term strategy to ensure continued growth of Test & Tag and its proprietary developed Management System and in meeting our mission statement.

One very valuable task undertaken during the exploring of the franchisee model was the creation of documented manuals, systems and procedures.  With these manuals, systems and procedures in place Test & Tag was able to streamline the process to receive AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 certification in December of 2009.

Test & Tag is continually developing its business and Management Systems which has been well proven over the last six years of operation.  Our Management System allows for the most cost effective management nationwide of our customers testing requirement projects, our Service Technicians scheduling, mass testing data storage and the production of reporting for our customers about their assets.
